Welcome to EUGLUG! We are Eugene's premiere Unix & GNU/Linux Users Group.

Together we share a wealth of knowledge from programming circuit boards, writing software, and building and maintaining computers of every sort.

Got and old box or new one that needs an operating system? Why spend $100 or more for an operating system that requires constant vigilance to stay secure and offers no real benefit outside of commercial support for a limited number of applications?

Meetings are not specific to any subject matter at this time and all levels of users are welcome to ask questions and/or bring a computer to install linux onto.

Learn the pros and cons of various distributions and learn about the "holy wars" of which desktop environment or text editor is better.

Far more intriguing than the Mac/Windows silliness.
